Mountain Trek & Lunch In A Scenic Village Near Darjeeling
Join us on an amazing village trek through the lush corner of Himalayas village Manshi gaon, near Dooteria Tea Garden. Immerse yourself in the beauty, and discover the unknown!
We will start from Camp Umesh Manshi cottages with Umesh da. He will take us through the forest trail, guiding us through the flora and fauna of the village vegetation. Get an experience of what life in a remote village is like, the tools they use, the daily activities, and the scenic beauty. Once you reach the village top, there is a Gorkha museum that Umesh da will guide you through.

Your Hosts
Meet the sweetest couple of Manshi gaaon, near Darjeeling. Umesh da works as a mason, and Bimla di is helps at a household in Darjeeling. They are one adorable couple with an enthusiastic energy and, they LOVE feeding their guests - SERIOUSLY.
They will always greet you with a smile - no matter who you are! Their humour will melt your heart, and their pure hearts will immediately make you a part of their family. We are so excited for you to meet this cute couple and their entire family.
The Lepcha Tribe
Lepcha is an interesting community of about 11,000 people. They are distinctly known for their language, culture, and cuisine.
The community are natives from eastern Nepal, Sikkim, and the Darjeeling region of West Bengal. They are also believed to be the among the earliest indigenous communities of Sikkim. With time, the Lepcha community spread out and also imbibed other cultures including Bhutia traditions from Tibetan inhabitants from centuries ago.
A Himalayan Tribe
Lepcha primarily inhabit the Himalayan regions, and live in the mountains. They are traditionally known to have been worshippers for the might Kanchenjunga mountain. They believe it to be their God who protects them from any danger or problems in life.
